About Joan Zepf
‘YOU ARE NEVER TOO OLD TO SET ANOTHER GOAL OR TO DREAM A NEW DREAM”…..C.S. LEWIS
JOAN of ART
Greenville is my home but I also felt at home when I lived in South Dakota and Virginia.
Art has always been a part of my life. My Daddy used oils and could draw and paint anything. Daddy’s mother used paper and scissors and could cut out any animal or silhouette. My father was self taught. He won first place at many Fairs and did many commissioned Portraits in addition to still life and landscapes. So began a life of art, if only on the sidelines. My sister and her daughter are both artists.
My background is in photography, offset printing and packaging which allowed me to use my artistic abilities. Photography has always been a passion.
Sketching was the depth of my art until recently when I pursued painting. I have started working with watercolors the last several years and have found my passion. It is no secret that bold strong colors and unusual angles are my choice.
I try to capture things that grab my heart and share that same passion and emotion with you when I put the image to paper in watercolors. Hopefully a part of my heart comes through in my paintings.
